Cloud DBA

The role:

You should have a very strong understanding of relational database principles and deep knowledge on high performance database systems including: indexes, tuning, partitioning, sharding, scaling and monitoring.

You will also be adept at drawing out detail from data and presenting it back in meaningful ways.

This role is more than just a support DBA role; the candidate will work closely with our Data Science, DevOps and Professional Services teams giving the candidate the possibility to explore how data can be used across the business.

TruNarrative is SaaS business and are hosted in the AWS cloud so this role requires strong AWS knowledge.


Required Skills:

You should have a good technical understanding of data and databases:

•     Database Security


Desirable Skills:

•     Graph database e.g. AWS Neptune
•     Python
•     ETL

•     BI, MI and Analytics
•     Data Visualisation
•     Experience of continuous integration systems
•     Docker
•     Infrastructure as code


Job Requirements:

Education: A Graduate or Professionally accredited individual with an understanding of technology and how technology solves problems within commercial organisations. 

Personality: An individual who takes pride in their work and is motivated to deliver, whilst being comfortable collaborating as an integrated team member. 

Experience: Proven, practical work experience in a relevant business and/or role is preferred, understanding of Data, Credit, Fraud and Financial Crime is desirable but not essential.
